Newark Rotary Fundraiser - Monday October 17 - Bertucci's - Newark DE
The Rotary Club of Newark is raising funds for Polio eradication. Please print a copy of this flyer and provide it to your server before your meal. 15% of your bill will go to the fight against Polio.
Since 1985, Rotary has led the battle against polio, and kept the pressure on as worldwide cases plummeted from 350,000 cases in 1988 to just over 200 in 2014. A child can be vaccinated against Polio for as little as $0.60 and the Gates Foundation has pledged that every dollar donated to the Rotary Foundation’s PolioPlus Campaign will be matched two to one. This means that every dollar that the Rotary Club of Newark raises in this fundraiser as part of its efforts to eradicate Polio will be tripled. Last year, the Rotary Club of Newark raised over $3,000 for the Rotary Foundation’s PolioPlus campaign, and with the Gates Foundation match, that’s 15,000 children, who will not get Polio because of the generosity of the Newark community. The money raised in this fundraiser will be used to change and save lives through purchase and administering of Polio vaccines.
