Rotary began in February 1905 in Chicago as a way for local businessmen to get together and network. In the past 118 years it has become so much more. It is now an international orginization that has 1.4 million members, over 36,000 clubs in 200 Countries and geographical areas. Rotary's main focus now is to provide time and financial assistance to our main avenues of service: Promoting Peace, Fighting Disease, Providing clean water, Sanitation & Hygeine, Saving Mothers & Children, Supporting Education, Growing Local Economies and Protecting the Enviroment.
Being a Rotarian is a great way to connect to new people, make lasting friendships and provide help to our local Community and beyond. If you like to volunteer to help local non-profits or other orginizations, you are the perfect fit for becoming a Rotarian! Come and join us for a meeting or two and lets you tell us whate we are all about.
